Job Description Overview:
The Infrastructure Modernization team is on the lookout for a Senior Product Architect who will take on a pivotal role as both a visionary and a hands-on technical leader in our Workload Automation and DevOps solutions. Our solutions are integral in helping clients automate vital business processes, guarantee reliable workload execution, and modernize software development and deployment practices. This position demands extensive knowledge in automation technologies and DevOps pipeline methodologies. As a recognized thought leader, you will guide the advancement of our products to effectively address enterprise mainframe and hybrid cloud environments. By working closely with customers, engineering teams, sales, and product management, you will ensure that our offerings are robust, reliable, high-performing, operationally efficient, and highly secure.
Key modernization initiatives include:
Incorporating generative and predictive AI to improve operational results and automate enterprise workflows.
Designing scalable, resilient automation platforms for adaptive workloads.
Creating modern, secure APIs for seamless integration with ecosystem partners.
Streamlining deployments suitable for contemporary containerization and provisioning technologies.
Delivering solutions that automate workflows across the entire hybrid enterprise stack.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain an automation architecture showcasing essential capabilities and forward-thinking value for customers.
Manage requirements and backlog to ensure alignment with product strategy.
Assess and recommend vital features to support future vision-oriented use cases, promoting competitive differentiation and market leadership.
Provide insights related to technical debt evaluation and resolution.
Explore opportunities for automation integration across Rocket and partner ecosystems.
Minimum Qualifications:
10+ years of experience in software engineering or technical product roles, with at least 5 years in a senior technical leadership capacity.
In-depth knowledge of automation technologies, workload orchestration, and DevOps best practices.
Demonstrated experience with scalable, resilient platforms in hybrid cloud and mainframe environments.
Strong proficiency in modern programming languages such as Java, Python, Go, etc., and expertise in API design.
Hands-on experience with CI/CD, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and infrastructure-as-code tools.
Familiarity with observability platforms, security best practices, and performance tuning.
Proven capability to define the technical vision and roadmap for enterprise solutions.
Experience in mentoring global engineering teams while actively contributing on a technical level.
Excellent collaboration skills to work seamlessly with cross-functional teams.
Expertise in enterprise workload automation and integration with business processes.
Understanding of AI/ML integration for automation scenarios.
Excellent communication and presentation skills.
A capacity to excel in a global, distributed work environment.
A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
