Company Description
Performance Foodservice, PFG's broadline distributor, maintains a unique relationship with a variety of local customers, including independent restaurants and hotels, healthcare facilities, schools, and quick-service eateries. A team of sales reps, chefs, consultants and other experts builds close relationships with each customer, providing advice on improving operations, menu development, product selection and operational strategies. The Performance Foodservice team delivers delicious food, but also goes above and beyond to help independent restaurant owners achieve their dreams.
Job Description Responsible for assisting all customers with order entries and any inquiries regarding the company. In addition, responsible for keeping all customers satisfied and happy with the company as their distributor and to accommodate them as best possible. Solves customer problems and deals with a variety of concrete variables in situations where standardization exists. Communicates and interacts with customers, vendors and co-workers professionally ensuring questions are answered accurately and in a timely manner. Functions as a team member within the department and organization, as required, and performs any duty assigned to best serve the company.
Position Responsibilities
Effectively communicate with customers
Process telephone orders for customers
Work with customers and sales associates to effectively manage their deliveries
Efficiently evaluate and respond to customer orders and requests
Data entry
Input customer orders
Input customer credits
Input order and invoicing information accurately and in a timely manner
Assist customers with orders and problems. Contact vendors and request samples for customers
Provide informative and professional assistance when working with the public, customers, vendors, and co-workers
Perform administrative responsibilities such as checking faxes and mail on a daily basis, writing sample requests and special orders when necessary
Attend training and Customer Service meetings
Perform other related duties as assigned
Schedule: Monday - Friday 8am - 5pm, a monthly Sunday 8am - 5pm.

Qualifications Required Education: High School Diploma/GED
Required Experience: 6 - 12 Months Customer service, call center and/or related area
Preferred Qualifications:
1 - 2 Years Customer service, call center and/or related area within foodservice industry
Ten Key
Basic Computer Skills - Microsoft Word / Excel / Outlook
Foodservice knowledge a plus
Bilingual a plus
