Collections Specialist
We're seeking a Collections Specialist to manage client accounts, collect payments, and ensure timely resolution of billing issues. If you're detail-oriented and enjoy building strong client relationships, this role is perfect for you! Key Duties & Responsibilities
Confirm payments for assigned customers for fence, sanitation and storage containers. Collect payments for past due and assist customer with billing issues or problems preventing payment. Process credit card and check payments from customers. Maintain the relationship between Viking and the customer. Other duties as assigned. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
1-5 years of collections experience. Experience with accounts receivable preferred. Construction industry experience preferred. Knowledge of Lien Laws and Bonding Rights is a plus. Intermediate experience in Microsoft Office including Excel, Word and Outlook. Demonstrated strong attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to use logic and reasoning to accomplish tasks, analyze data and propose solutions. Ability to manage multiple tasks, stay organized, set priorities, plan ahead, and meet deadlines. Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Demonstrated tenacity and the ability to work through obstacles. Initiative to learn and a great work ethic. Work Environment & Physical Demands
Air-conditioned office environment with moderate noise including copier, AC, co-worker conversations. Ability to sit or stand for up to 8-10 hours per day. Manual dexterity of hands to keyboard and navigate programs on a computer. Ability to repeat the same movements with hands, arms and fingers up to 8-10 hours per day. Ability to lift, hold, carry and direct objects for up to 8-10 hours per day. Ability to lift up to 15 lbs. on occasional basis. Hybrid work environment (scheduled work from home and office) may be available requiring dedicated office space with limited interruptions, high speed internet capable of video meetings, uploading and downloading documents, and telephone access. Ability to physically report to the office for training, customer meetings, business meetings and departmental meetings as required. Compensation & Benefits
