We are seeking a talented Managing Supervisor in Technology Media to lead strategic storytelling initiatives and media relations across a portfolio of high‑profile technology clients. This mid-level role combines hands‑on media strategy with team leadership, focusing on shaping the technology narrative through relationships with key traditional and emerging media influencers.

Responsibilities

Strategic Media Relations & Storytelling

Develop and execute comprehensive media strategies that position clients as thought leaders in their respective technology sectors

Identify key narratives and angles that resonate with technology journalists, analysts, and influencers

Craft compelling technology stories that bridge complex technical concepts with business impact

Build and nurture relationships with top‑tier technology journalists, editors, and influencers across traditional media (WSJ, FT, CNBC, etc.) and emerging platforms

Pitch story ideas and secure media placements across tier‑1 and specialized tech publications

Media & Storytelling Expertise

Deep understanding of technology industry sectors (cloud, enterprise software, infrastructure, digital transformation, cybersecurity, etc.)

Exceptional technology storytelling skills—ability to translate complex concepts into compelling narratives

Comprehensive knowledge of technology media landscape (traditional, trade, analyst, emerging influencers)

Strong relationships with key technology journalists, editors, and media influencers

Understanding of earned media, thought leadership, and media measurement strategies

Communication & Interpersonal Skills

Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities

Strong presentation skills for client meetings and internal stakeholder updates

Excellent relationship management with media, clients, and internal teams

Strong listening and consultation skills

Strategic Thinking & Execution

Ability to develop strategic media plans and translate them into tactical execution

Project management and organizational skills

Problem‑solving mindset with ability to pivot strategies based on market conditions

Attention to detail and quality assurance

Qualifications

7‑10 years in technology public relations/media relations

Demonstrated experience managing multiple B2B/enterprise technology accounts

Proven track record of securing media placements in top‑tier publications

Prior experience in technology software, cloud services, or enterprise solutions sectors

Established relationships within technology media community

Experience with media monitoring tools and analytics platforms

Portfolio of successful media placements and thought leadership campaigns

Knowledge of AI/ML and emerging technology trends

The anticipated salary range for this position at Managing Supervisor level is $71,000- $125,000.

Salary is based on a range of factors that include relevant experience, knowledge, skills, other job‑related qualifications and geography. A range of medical, dental, vision, 401(k) matching, paid time off and/or other benefits also are available.
