Direct Hire Recruiter / Director of Operations / Controller
As the organization’s senior-most sales leader, the Director of Sales will be accountable for driving profitable growth by developing, implementing, leading, and scaling all sales and business development activities. This position will develop and lead a dynamic, results-oriented go-to-market profitability strategy that aligns with the overall business strategy of the company. With a focus on inspired leadership, the Director of Sales will create a powerful best-in-class strategy that is grounded through repeatable, measurable, and scalable systems and processes.
Essential Functions
- Directly responsible for the Company’s sales revenue and margin within and for the areas of sales and commercialization team for which assigned.
- Manage key customer relationships and participate in closing strategic opportunities and implement strategies for expanding the company’s client base.
- Develop plans and strategies for developing business and achieving the Company’s sales volume targets of products and services in alignment with company’s goals and objectives.
- Put in place infrastructure and systems and processes to support the success of the sales function and to align with company goals and objectives.
- Ensure a consistent sales process is followed that is aligned with organizational processes and procedures that is scalable and drives improved team performance.
- Manage product pricing to meet company profitability targets.
- Lead product development efforts to increase business opportunities for the company.
- Influence and guide the company through the process of obtaining and complying with industry certifications that have regulatory guidelines.
- Provide best in class service to our customers by exceeding customer expectations and contributing to a high level of customer satisfaction.
- Oversee the design and maintenance of the company website including content, images, and structure as well as providing content to company social media sites.
- Monitor customer, market and competitor activity and provide feedback to company leadership team and other Company functions.
- Provide detailed and accurate sales forecasting and records.
- Manage the sales team’s operations and resources to deliver profitable growth through improved hiring and performance management of sales staff.
- Define and oversee incentive programs that motivate the sales team to achieve sales targets.
- Develop, support and maintain adequate and accurate sales records and reporting systems.
- Compile information and data related to customer and prospect interactions.
- Other sales and commercialization related duties and responsibilities may be assigned by the owners.
Work Experience
- Required Experience: More than 10 years
- Proven experience in sales leadership roles in the nutritional supplements industry.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Strong leadership and team management abilities.
- Strategic thinker with a results-driven mindset.
- Ability to analyze sales data and trends.
- Experience in developing and implementing sales plans.
- Knowledge of CRM software and sales analytics tools.
- Ability to travel for client meetings, expos, and conferences.
Education
- Required Degree Level: Undergraduate
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field. MBA preferred.
