Overview
Our client is a well-established food and beverage distribution company with a large international footprint. They\'re currently seeking a Sales Director to oversee their existing sales team, which covers the company\'s largest revenue generating territory from San Diego to Santa Barbara. Although they are a large national distributor, their local operations function more like a smaller company at the regional level – a best of both worlds scenario.
Sales Director – Santa Fe Springs
- Must have experience managing a large sales team (25+ reps)
- Must have experience in a high-volume ($100M+ sales) environment
- Food/Bev sales experience preferred but not required
- Must have excellent communication and management experience
- Will recommend and implement improvements in sales methods, procedures, and go-to-market strategy
- Will coordinate with production/warehousing in regards to forecasting/demand planning
- Will split time between office and out in field with sales reps
- Salary likely $130- $150K + bonus, car allowance, mileage, benefits, PTO, and 401k
Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage the existing sales team across the regional territory (San Diego to Santa Barbara)
- Recommend and implement improvements in sales methods, procedures, and go-to-market strategy
- Coordinate with production and warehousing regarding forecasting and demand planning
- Balance time between office leadership and field engagement with sales reps
Qualifications
