This role reports to the Event Director - Bett USA
Through our market leading events, the Edtech portfolio is playing a pivotal role in improving education globally. The Bett portfolio of events is helping technology vendors connect to more schools; school buyers procure wisely and teachers to become better users of technology. The opportunities to advance education and personalized learning through use of edtech and developments in AI are huge. Working with our communities from around the world we create and facilitate business which inspires governments and schools to improve education and the lives of learners all over the world.
As Head of Growth, this role is responsible for driving sustainable, scalable business growth across the full customer lifecycle. This role will deliver the organisation’s revenue targets through strong sales leadership, clear strategy and disciplined execution and own the overall sales performance, ensuring robust pipeline development, accurate forecasting and consistent target achievement. Leading the sales function, the Head of Growth sets the commercial strategy, defines sales structures and incentives, and drives accountability across teams. They are responsible for building high-performing sales teams, optimising processes and ensuring a culture focused on results.
As part of your job, you’ll be:
- Achieving stated revenue targets for all products; exhibition, sponsorship, delegates.
- Providing all required daily, weekly, and monthly revenue data and tracking as requested by the leadership team.
- Developing the sales strategy across each identified revenue stream.
- Performing financial analysis that will inform sales strategy and forecasts.
- Working with the Event Director to identify market headroom and opportunities for future growth.
- Working closely with the Event Director to develop the show’s strategy, making significant contributions to overarching growth strategies.
- Develop the event's sales plan, including: launch partners, rebooking, sponsorship and all other revenue streams, on-site activities at competitor shows and wider Bett portfolio events (e.g. Bett UK) scheduling meetings with bellwethers, identifying and targeting under-represented market sectors, etc. The overall sales targets in the sales plan should align to the event’s budget.
- Recruit and retain an exceptional sales team that shares your ambition to overachieve. Manage the sales team on a day-to-day basis, resolving internal conflicts, motivating team members, celebrating successes, and sharing show updates.
- Develop individual sales and performance targets for each sales team member and measure their performance against those targets. Establish stretching but rewarding commission and incentive plans for sales teams across all events and products.
- Work closely with the Bett marketing team to ensure delegate revenue is maximised through quality data and impactful marketing.
- Manage and deliver revenue for the agreed key accounts.
- Ensure pipelines and future sales indicators are rigorously maintained.
- Develop, set and adjust the SPEX and delegate inventory & rate card in collaboration with Finance and Operations teams.
- Take mitigating action to address under performance within sales team.
- Work closely with wider show teams to ensure we continually deliver value to customers.
- Develop sales communications and marketing initiatives, coordinated with Marketing and other departments.
- Lead the onsite rebooking processes.

The benefits:
- The salary band for this position ranges from $130,000-150,000 based on experience
- This position will be eligible for a competitive bonus structure
