Sales Director, Client Expansion and Retention (North America)

Role

Drive growth and retention across an assigned enterprise client by expanding cross-sell/upsell, securing renewals, and ensuring outstanding customer experience as the company doubles its current hundreds of millions of revenue.

Key Responsibilities

  • Grow accounts: create demand, prospect, qualify, and close cross-sell/upsell; build trusted‑advisor relationships; tailor solutions and collateral; use social selling; execute account plans
  • Manage pipeline: maintain Salesforce hygiene
  • Retain clients: Renewals, Pre‑Sales, Product, and Delivery; identify risks early; pair renewals with expansion; meet/exceed retention targets
  • Ensure success: drive full adoption and value realization; cultivate executive sponsors; secure references and case studies; act as voice of the customer

Experience

  • 10+ years in enterprise tech customer‑facing roles (Sales, Renewals, AM/CS, Consulting)
  • 3+ years sales leadership experience
  • 5+ years selling Support, Managed Services, Professional Services; 2+ years selling AMS
  • Proven quota attainment and account growth; margin/portfolio management
  • Some major software and ERP vendor ecosystem experience is required

  • Adaptable, collaborative, hands‑on leader, can grow teams, co‑sell and be proactive and creative
  • Comfortable with executive briefing and be able to share examples
  • Keen sense to identify new opportunities versus a lead
  • Collaborative entrepreneurial driver of new opportunities
  • Established enterprise CXO/CIO/CFO/CTO relationships
  • Ability to recruit, train, lead and get in front of customer with the team

Education

Bachelor’s required; Master’s/MBA preferred
