Senior Sales Director
The Senior Sales Director will report to the Vice President of Sales and play an integral role in driving world‑class account management initiatives by working closely with Walmart merchants in collaboration with SharkNinja corporate teams (sales planning, category planning & analysis, supply chain, and finance) to meet in‑club and online sales & profit goals. This role is based in the Bentonville, AR area and will be hybrid.
Job Responsibilities
- Act as a successful sales leader, serving as the “business manager” for Walmart, working effectively with cross‑functional team leadership, and demonstrating strong financial and analytical acumen to own the big picture while also diving into details as needed.
- Demonstrate a best‑in‑class account management operation plan, driving revenue and net margin growth to help achieve and exceed goals.
- Manage promotional strategies and collaborate with internal teams to develop annual promotional plans for new and existing items within ROI goals.
- Make critical decisions quickly based on evidence and analytics in a fast‑paced environment, tying back to overarching sales strategy and goals.
- Own the strategy and outcomes for customer meetings, leveraging internal support to present product strategies and products effectively.
- Maintain execution focus, mindful of key milestones and capable of creating and adhering to a schedule to ensure success.
- Collaborate with Demand Planning and Supply Chain teams to optimize the flow of goods, including the monthly forecast cycle and long‑range plans.
- Work with Commercial and Category Analytics teams to report POS, trends, and factors impacting the business.
- Gather and communicate competitive factors impacting the business.
- Lead others on the team, including Key Account Managers and Sales Analysts.
Requirements / Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required; MBA preferred.
- 10+ years of national account sales management or equivalent experience working directly with a retailer in a buying or merchandising function; Walmart experience mandatory.
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint).
- Excellent analytical and technical skills to gather and analyze large sets of data and create reports for management.
- Ability to work cross‑functionally and under pressure.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills to build, develop, and maintain solid relationships.
- Proven analytical, organizational, and time‑management skills.
- Experience leading and managing a team.
- Ability to travel 4–6 trips per year—including Boston/Needham, trade shows, and Sam’s Club meetings out of the area.
Salary and Other Compensation
The annual salary range for this position is displayed below. Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
Pay Range: $170,600—$289,800 USD
