A nationally recognized and rapidly growing organization with a large multi-state real estate portfolio is seeking a Director of Asset Management to lead the strategic oversight and performance optimization of its commercial assets.
This role will drive asset value creation, portfolio performance, and long-term strategic planning across a diverse portfolio of income-producing properties. The Director will partner closely with executive leadership and cross-functional teams including acquisitions, finance, development, and legal to support portfolio growth and operational excellence.
This is a highly visible leadership role responsible for shaping asset strategy and ensuring successful execution of property-level business plans across multiple markets.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the strategic management and performance optimization of a multi-state commercial real estate portfolio.
- Oversee the full asset lifecycle including business planning, financial performance, leasing strategy, capital planning, and operational oversight.
- Develop and execute strategies that maximize asset value, cash flow, and long-term portfolio performance.
- Partner with cross-functional teams including acquisitions, development, leasing, finance, and legal to support growth initiatives and investment strategies.
- Manage capital improvement, renovation, and repositioning initiatives across the portfolio.
- Build strong relationships with ownership partners, tenants, brokers, contractors, and external advisors.
- Oversee operating and capital budgets while ensuring strong financial discipline and performance tracking.
- Lead, mentor, and develop team members while driving a culture of accountability and high performance.
- Identify opportunities to enhance asset management processes, reporting, and portfolio strategy.
Qualifications
- Strong experience in commercial real estate asset management and portfolio oversight
- Deep understanding of asset performance optimization, capital planning, and investment strategy
- Ability to translate strategic initiatives into operational execution across multiple properties and markets
- Exceptional financial, analytical, and decision-making skills
- Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management capabilities
- Experience collaborating with executive leadership and cross-functional teams
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Real Estate, Finance, Business, Construction Management, or a related field required
Master’s degree or advanced real estate training preferred
