Join the iconic Equinox Resort as Director of Finance, leading strategic financial operations at Vermont’s premier luxury destination.

This executive-level position will oversee all aspects of the Finance/Accounting Department. The Director of Finance will report to the General Manager and VP of Finance. They will act as a mentor and be actively involved in the day-to-day operations of the hotel and the department.

Responsibilities

• Manage and communicate cash flow issues effectively to management and ownership.
• Coordinate the completion of forecasts and budgets with the active participation of the Executive Team and department managers.
• Analyze financial data and operations to assist management in achieving financial objectives.
• Ensure timely reconciliation of all balance sheet accounts.
• Develop and implement financial strategies, policies, and procedures for effective management of financial resources.
• Establish and audit internal financial controls, including purchasing, cash handling, disbursements, credit extension, inventories, assets, payroll, and records.
• Prepare all financial reports in accordance with company requirements, meeting deadlines.
• Conduct financial analysis and provide insights on revenue, costs, and profitability.
• Collaborate with department heads on cost-saving initiatives that do not compromise quality or guest satisfaction.
• Maintain relationships with external stakeholders such as auditors, banks, and financial institutions.
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory licenses, permits, leases, contracts, legal agreements, and operational taxes.
