Overview

A boutique non-profit organization is seeking a VP of Finance to join their leadership team to oversee financial operations. The role requires a strategic thinker with strong supervisory experience and the ability to streamline and upgrade accounting and operational processes. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of improving morale and rallying the team to achieve organizational goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee all financial operations, including accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
  • Ensure compliance with government and private funding requirements.
  • Develop and implement financial policies and procedures to streamline and upgrade accounting and operational processes.
  • Lead and mentor the finance team, providing guidance and support to ensure high performance and professional development.
  • Prepare and present financial reports to the Board of Directors and senior management.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure financial alignment with organizational goals.
  • Manage audits and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor cash flow and manage financial risks.
  • Foster a positive work environment and improve team morale.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or MBA preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior financial management role, in a non-profit organization.
  • Strong supervisory experience with a proven ability to lead and develop a team.
  • Experience with government and private funding requirements.
  • Excellent analytical, strategic planning, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and financial management systems.
