A leading global investment management firm is seeking a Senior Finance Director to oversee its management company operations.
The firm manages capital on behalf of a diverse institutional client base and employs a range of investment strategies across global markets.
Responsibilities
- Senior finance leadership role within a well-established investment management organization
- Serve as a key partner to executive leadership, providing oversight of management company financial and operational functions
- Lead accounting operations, financial reporting, and audit coordination for the management company
- Ensure accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of financial statements and internal management reporting
- Maintain and enhance internal controls, accounting policies, and procedures
- Partner cross-functionally with tax, operations, compliance, and other internal stakeholders to ensure cohesive financial oversight and regulatory adherence
- Oversee firmwide financial planning processes, including annual budgeting, monthly forecasting, and development of multi-year projections
- Prepare and review management reporting, variance analysis, and financial modeling to support strategic decision-making
- Oversee expense allocation processes and management company reporting
- Provide final review and approval of payroll cycles across affiliated entities
- Support annual compensation review processes and conduct financial analysis related to employee benefits programs
- Oversee cash flow and liquidity management, including review and approval of outgoing wires and partner distributions
- Maintain appropriate treasury controls and banking relationships
- Lead annual renewals of corporate insurance programs and coordinate risk management efforts with external advisors and internal stakeholders
- Oversee financial aspects of corporate infrastructure, including lease obligations, vendor management, and regulatory filings for affiliated entities
- Manage and develop a small team spanning accounting, FP&A, and payroll functions
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement
- Drive process enhancements and broader utilization of financial systems
Qualifications
- 12+ years of financial services experience; private investment management experience preferred
- Prior oversight of both controllership and FP&A functions
- Strong technical accounting knowledge, including partnership structures and complex financial arrangements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA strongly preferred
- Proven leadership experience managing teams in a high-performance environment
- Experience with enterprise financial systems preferred
- Strong communication skills and ability to engage effectively with senior leadership
