Our client is seeking a highly detail-oriented Proposal Copy Editor to support a corporate Request for Proposal (RFP) team on a long-term contract. This role focuses on editorial review, copy editing, and branding/style enforcement across large, complex proposal documents. You will work closely with proposal managers, subject-matter experts, and sales teams to ensure all deliverables are clear, accurate, cohesive, and fully compliant with corporate style guidelines.
This position requires experience editing very large documents (400+ pages), strong mastery of Microsoft Word, and the ability to work under tight deadlines in a fast-paced proposal environment.

Requirements:
- Provide comprehensive editorial review of proposal documents, including grammar, syntax, punctuation, clarity, and consistency.
- Edit and refine content developed by subject-matter experts to produce polished, client-ready deliverables.
- Ensure strict adherence to corporate branding and style guidelines across written and visual materials.
- Review and improve existing proposal content to enhance clarity, cohesion, and response effectiveness.
- Support proposal workflows, including Q&A responses, forms completion, bios/resumes, and content library updates.
- Serve as a content editor for proposal graphics and visual elements as needed.
- Track editorial progress, manage deadlines, and communicate status updates to proposal managers.
- Handle confidential and sensitive information with professionalism and discretion.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
- Proven ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
- 5+ years of professional copy editing, proofreading, or editorial experience.
- Demonstrated experience editing large, multi-author documents (400+ pages)
- Excellent organizational skills, including planning, prioritization, and scheduling.
- Ability to work independently while managing multiple concurrent deadlines.
- Strong understanding of corporate style guides, branding standards, and one-voice editing.
- Experience supporting proposal/RFP teams or similar deadline-driven environments.
- Experience with Smartsheet or similar project-tracking tools.
- Experience editing resumes/bios and maintaining content repositories.
- Work involves editing very large, complex documents requiring cohesive voice, consistent formatting, and strict style adherence.
- Responsibilities include editorial peer reviews, Q&A support, forms completion, and updating proposal bios and content libraries.
- Ideal candidates are flexible, highly organized, and exceptionally detail-oriented.
- Familiarity with proposal development processes, RFP compliance, and content libraries.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills for working with cross-functional teams.
