Job Description
The Sr. Director of Operational Enablement for Data Centers is responsible for the operational excellence and systems design across Oracle’s global data center environments. This leader will oversee operational technology (OT), design and implement systems and standards (including patching and physical security), report on operational improvements, and ensure ongoing collaboration with design, keying, architecture, and engineering partners. Adherence to relevant industry and ISO standards, such as ISO 14001 and ISO 45001, will be essential for consistent operational performance.
Responsibilities
- Operational Technology (OT) Oversight: Direct all aspects of OT deployment and lifecycle management in data centers, ensuring the implementation of robust operational standards and seamless integration with new and existing systems.
- Systems Design: Lead the design of operational and security systems for new and existing data centers, ensuring alignment with organizational requirements, future scalability, and industry best practices.
- Patching & Standards: Develop, implement, and monitor policies related to patch management and operational standards for critical OT and infrastructure systems.
- Physical Security Standards: Establish, document, and routinely update physical security and keying standards to protect data center infrastructure and assets.
- Operational Improvements & Reporting: Drive continuous improvement initiatives across operational processes; establish and track KPIs and deliver regular performance and risk reports.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with cross‑functional teams—including design, engineering, architecture, and security—to ensure consistency and alignment in systems design, operational standards, and physical infrastructure.
- Compliance & Risk Management: Ensure data center operations and systems designs are fully compliant with internal policies, industry standards (such as ISO 14001, ISO 45001), and regulatory requirements; proactively identify and address operational and security risks.
- Leadership: Mentor, develop, and lead a high‑performing team to achieve operational excellence through innovation, robust systems design, and quality improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field (Master’s preferred)
- 12+ years experience in data center operations and systems design, with at least 5 years in a senior management role
- Demonstrated experience designing operational and security systems in large‑scale, mission‑critical environments
- In‑depth knowledge of operational technology, systems integration, patch management, and physical security
- Strong background in developing, implementing, and auditing standards, including ISO 14001, ISO 45001, or similar industry benchmarks
- Track record of driving operational improvements, risk management, and innovation in facility and systems design
- Excellent stakeholder engagement, cross‑functional leadership, and communication skills
- Relevant certifications (such as CISM, CISSP, PMP, DCProfessional, or similar) are a plus

Compensation and Benefits
US: Hiring Range in USD from: $184,400 - $394,600 per year. May be eligible for bonus, equity, and compensation deferral. Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle's differing products, industries and lines of business. Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.
