
Global Director Demand Planning, Engineered Materials S&OP

Overview
The Global Director of Demand Planning will report to VP S&OP and be responsible for all aspects of the Demand Planning process and drive execution for the Engineered Materials business. This person will lead a team of regional demand planners responsible for monthly forecasting processes across Americas, EMEA, and Asia. The Global Director will also play a key role in bridging S&OP and Business processes, working closely with colleagues in Commercial, P&L, Finance, and the rest of the Supply Chain Planning team.

Responsibilities
- Provide direction, coaching, and manage performance of regional demand planners through both direct and matrix organizational structures.
- Oversee monthly regional demand process. Lead monthly global demand process. Align sales forecast and business target volumes with Global Sales, P&L, and Finance leadership.
- Monitor multiple levels of forecast accuracy, communicate results, and drive actions to improve.
- Establish timeline for and manage annual volume budgeting process.
- Identify and lead global process improvement efforts related to S&OP, leveraging industry best practices.
- Publish Orders vs Forecast reports and manage online dashboard.
- Collaborate with and provide demand related insight to senior leaders to improve business decisions; in the meantime, bring the insights from senior leaders back to the Supply Chain Planning organization to enable Integrated Business Planning.
- Act as Global Process Owner for demand planning policies, procedures, and tools.
Qualifications
- B.S. in Supply Chain, Engineering or related discipline.
- 8+ years of professional working experience, with 2 years specifically in Demand Planning.
- Highly proficient in Demand Planning processes and tools including statistical forecasting and forecast accuracy analysis.
- Solid understanding of end-to-end S&OP processes and how this connects to the Commercial organization.
- People leadership experience, with proven ability to develop and motivate teams.
- Experience managing global projects with a proven record of process improvement.
- Strong problem‑solving and analytics skills.
- Solid executive presence. Ability to effectively communicate (both written and verbal) and present to multiple levels of the organization, including senior leadership.
- Proven ability to use positive persuasion and influence to reach consensus outcomes.
- Excellent MS Office skills, including Excel and Power Point, with working knowledge of MS Visio.
- Experience in SAP IBP Demand software, as well as SAP SD and MM modules preferred.
