Folds of Honor is seeking a dynamic, growth-oriented, and mission-driven Director of Business Development to accelerate revenue expansion across the Minnesota region. This role is responsible for achieving defined growth targets through new corporate partnerships, foundation funding, and executive-level individual giving, while stewarding and growing existing relationships.

Primary Job Function:

Identifies, engages, cultivates, solicits, and stewards corporate partners, foundations, and executive-level donors to expand financial support for Folds of Honor in Minnesota. Responsible for achieving annual growth targets through disciplined portfolio management.

Essential Functions:

  • Develops and executes a strategic revenue growth plan for Minnesota.
  • Identifies, qualifies, and closes new corporate sponsorships, foundation grants, and major gifts.
  • Manages and grows a portfolio of corporate, foundation, and executive-level individual donors.
  • Achieves defined annual growth targets, including new and renewable revenue.
  • Cultivates executive-level relationships with CEOs, C-suite leaders, and foundation board members.
  • Prepares customized sponsorship proposals and grant requests.
  • Lead sponsorship acquisition and retention efforts for the chapter’s two flagship events.
  • Negotiates multi-year partnership agreements.
  • Implements strategies to increase year-over-year partner investment.
  • Collaborates with the Executive Director and Board to secure introductions.
  • Maintains disciplined pipeline management and forecasting.
  • Serves as an ambassador within Minnesota’s business and philanthropic community.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Selection Criteria:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related field required.
  • 5+ years of experience in fundraising, sales, or business development.
  • Proven record of meeting or exceeding revenue growth targets.
  • Ability to engage executive-level decision-makers.
  • Strong consultative sales and negotiation skills.
  • Strategic thinker with strong organizational discipline.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Passion for the mission of Folds of Honor.
  • Ability to manage priorities independently and drives results

Communication Requirements:

  • Ability to write professional reports and proposals.
  • Ability to speak effectively before executives and community groups.

Physical Requirements:

  • Mobility to travel and attend meetings and events.
  • Ability to lift and move up to 25 pounds.
