Base pay range
$200,000.00/yr - $300,000.00/yr
A real estate investment firm is seeking an experienced professional to join their team as the Head of Underwriting.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee underwriting and due diligence procedures across all commercial real estate (CRE) asset classes on a firmwide basis
- Evaluate active CRE lending deals to ensure comprehensive underwriting and alignment with firm standards and sound risk assessment practices
- Drive the creation and enhancement of investment memoranda and underwriting templates to support informed decision-making
- Manage and maintain relationships with third-party vendors supporting the underwriting process
- Lead training and development efforts for both new hires and current team members to strengthen underwriting capabilities
- Perform other duties, as needed
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
- Minimum of 10 years of hands-on experience in underwriting across private, conventional, or institutional lending environments
- Proven track record in credit analysis and transaction execution within underwriting or credit-focused roles
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
