As a Contract Specialist, you will work closely with STR project managers and other Divisions such as Procurement, Contract Services, Information Technology, and Professional Engineering Procurement Services from project initiation to contract execution and monitoring. Employees at this level establish their own work plan and priorities to meet set objectives. Issues are rarely referred to the supervisor but are handled at the occurrence Essential Duties:
Contract Specialist IV: Meets with project managers to identify contract objectives, requirements, and issues related to their projects. Develops, writes, revises and prepares complex contracts, amendments, procedures, forms, and other related contractual documents. Negotiates contract renewals and amendments to support evolving project needs. Reviews payment invoices to ensure completeness, accuracy and compliance with terms of contract and applicable governmental contracting rules, regulations and procedures. Monitors budget allocated and spent under contracts. Provides technical and administrative support, including reviewing and processing documents, answering questions, offering guidance, and resolving issues or complaints. Reviews, interprets, and clarifies statutes, regulations, and standard policies and procedures to ensure compliance with department and government regulations. Monitors, updates, and reconciles contracts information within information management systems. Maintains contractual related records, SharePoint site, and STR contract registry. Contract Specialist V:
All the Above and: Presents operational updates to STR leadership team Prepares cost analysis studies for contracts. Serves on project or innovation teams. Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Finance or related field. Relevant work experience may be substituted for degree on a year per year basis. Experience:
4 years in contract administration, administrative support, bookkeeping or accounting. Related graduate level education may be substituted for experience on a year per year basis. Licenses and Certifications:
Valid driver's license. This position requires driving a state vehicle. Contract Specialist V:

Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Finance or related field. Relevant work experience may be substituted for degree on a year per year basis. Experience:
