The Role: As a Leasing & Communication Specialist, you will serve as a central point of contact for leasing-related communication. This role manages a high volume of inbound and outbound phone calls, emails, and text messages, supports leasing operations, and ensures prospective residents receive timely responses. You’ll help ensure homes lease efficiently by coordinating showings, responding to inquiries quickly, and maintaining accurate communication across multiple platforms. This role is ideal for someone who is organized, tech‑savvy, and comfortable managing a high volume of communication while maintaining professionalism and empathy.
What We’re Looking For:
2+ years of experience in customer service, communications, or administrative support
Real estate or property management experience preferred
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to remain calm and professional in a high-volume environment
Strong attention to detail and problem‑solving ability
Comfortable working independently in a remote environment
Tech‑confident and able to learn new platforms quickly
Experience with AppFolio, LeadSimple, Rent Engine, or similar platforms is a plus
Availability to work occasional overtime and participate in a rotating weekend schedule as business needs require
What You’ll Do:
Respond to inbound leasing inquiries via phone, text, and email
Ensure timely responses to new leads and maintain service level expectations
Schedule and confirm property showings and provide self‑tour instructions
Follow up with prospective residents to support leasing conversions
Coordinate and promote open houses for available listings
Maintain accurate lead statuses in AppFolio and Tenant Turner
Collaborate with the Application and Renewal teams to provide applicant updates
Serve as a liaison between residents, owners, vendors, and internal team members
Ensure all communication remains compliant with Fair Housing guidelines
Use company platforms such as LeadSimple, AppFolio, Tenant Turner, DialPad, and Slack to manage workflows and communication
Diagnose operational issues and collaborate with team members to resolve them efficiently
Support leasing and tenant engagement efforts during high-volume periods
