Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced
Senior Oracle Database Administrator (DBA)
to support and maintain a mission-critical Oracle 19c environment running on Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL). The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in
Oracle RAC and ASM , along with the ability to independently manage database operations, performance tuning, and system optimization.
Key Responsibilities Administer and support
Oracle 19c databases
in
RAC and ASM environments Implement and manage
backup and recovery strategies using RMAN Monitor database performance and perform
performance tuning (DB & SQL level) Manage database security, integrity, and storage design Develop and maintain
shell scripts for automation, monitoring, and maintenance Handle
patch management (PSU/CPU updates)
and database upgrades Analyze and troubleshoot issues using
OEM, AWR, ADDM, and ASH reports Support release deployments and coordinate database-related changes Perform
capacity planning and forecasting Ensure adherence to
security standards, compliance, and best practices Work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment Required Skills & Experience
Strong experience with
Oracle RAC and ASM administration In-depth knowledge of
Oracle 19c architecture , including
Pluggable Databases (PDBs) Proficiency in
Linux (RHEL) shell scripting Hands-on experience with
RMAN (backup & recovery) Strong expertise in
database and SQL performance tuning Experience with
SQL and PL/SQL scripting Knowledge of
patch management and applying PSU/CPU updates Familiarity with
OEM, AWR, ADDM, and ASH tools Preferred Skills
Experience with
Oracle Data Guard (HA/DR solutions) Knowledge of
UDEV configuration for ASM devices Exposure to
cloud-based Oracle environments Experience with
automation tools for database operations Soft Skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities Excellent communication and documentation skills Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
