is seeking a
Private Credit Associate
to join its growing
Direct Lending
team in New York.
The firm was established by some of the most
well-known and respected investors and innovators in modern private equity , and over several decades has built a reputation for disciplined investing, deep sponsor relationships, and a highly collaborative investment culture.
As the firm continues to scale its
Private Credit platform , the Associate will play a key role in sourcing, underwriting, and executing direct lending investments, while working closely with senior investment professionals and private equity sponsors across a broad range of industries.
Key Responsibilities
Evaluate and underwrite
middle-market direct lending opportunities , including senior secured loans, unitranche facilities, and structured credit investments.
Build and maintain
complex financial models
to assess credit quality, leverage profiles, cash flow coverage, and downside scenarios.
Conduct detailed
due diligence , including industry analysis, business model evaluation, and management team assessments.
Prepare
investment memoranda and committee materials , presenting recommendations to senior investment professionals.
Work directly with
private equity sponsors, management teams, and advisors
throughout the transaction lifecycle.
Assist in
structuring and negotiating financing terms , including covenants, pricing, and capital structure considerations.
Monitor portfolio investments, including
performance tracking, covenant compliance, and amendment processes .
Support the team in evaluating
secondary opportunities, refinancings, and add-on financings
within the existing portfolio.
Qualifications
2–4 years of experience
in investment banking, leveraged finance, restructuring, private credit, or private equity.
Strong financial modeling and credit analysis capabilities, with experience evaluating
leveraged capital structures .
Exposure to
LBOs, leveraged loans, or sponsor-backed transactions
is highly preferred.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple workstreams in a fast-paced, deal-oriented environment.
Strong academic background from a top-tier university.
Exceptional analytical, communication, and presentation skills.
