Regional Sales Manager – Robotic Welding Automation
Location:
Remote – Midwest Territory (IA, KS, AR, MO, NE, OK)
Reports To:
Vice President of Sales
Position Overview We are seeking a highly motivated
Regional Sales Manager
to drive growth within the Midwest territory for advanced
robotic welding automation solutions . This individual will be responsible for developing new business, managing key customer relationships, and expanding sales of
pre-engineered robotic welding systems, large gantry welding systems, and offline robotic programming software .
The ideal candidate has experience in
industrial automation, robotic welding, capital equipment sales, or manufacturing technology , along with a proven track record of exceeding sales targets and developing long-term customer partnerships.
This is a
remote position
requiring regular travel within the assigned territory.
Key Responsibilities Territory Development
Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to grow revenue across the Midwest territory.
Identify and pursue new opportunities within manufacturing sectors such as
heavy fabrication, construction equipment, agriculture, transportation, and structural steel .
Build and maintain strong relationships with
manufacturing engineers, plant managers, operations leaders, and executive decision-makers .
Solution-Based Selling
Promote and sell:
Pre-engineered robotic welding cells
Large gantry robotic welding systems
Offline programming and simulation software for robotic welding
Conduct discovery meetings to understand customer manufacturing challenges and automation opportunities.
Collaborate with engineering teams to develop automation solutions tailored to customer production needs.
Maintain an active pipeline of qualified opportunities.
Prepare proposals, quotes, and technical presentations.
Manage the full sales cycle from prospecting through contract negotiation and project kickoff.
Market Development
Represent the company at trade shows, industry events, and customer demonstrations.
Internal Collaboration
Partner closely with applications engineering, project management, and service teams to ensure successful project delivery.
Provide voice-of-customer feedback to product and engineering teams.
Qualifications Suggested
5+ years of
industrial automation or capital equipment sales experience
Demonstrated success selling
robotic systems, welding automation, or manufacturing technology
Strong understanding of
robotic welding processes and fabrication manufacturing environments
Ability to manage complex technical sales cycles
Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
Willingness to travel
30–50% within the Midwest territory
Preferred
Experience selling
robotic welding systems or large-scale automation projects
Familiarity with
offline programming and robotic simulation software
Existing relationships with
fabrication manufacturers or OEMs
Bachelor’s degree in
Engineering, Business, or a related field
