MoFin Lending, New York, NY, United States
MoFin is a direct lender built for real estate investors — we fund 1-4 unit fix & flips, rehab‑to‑hold/rent projects, ground‑up construction, and DSCR/rental loans across 40 states. We're adding to our NYC sales team because our lead flow is outpacing our capacity. That's a good problem, and we need someone who can take advantage of it.
If you're not local to NYC, you will not be considered.
The money: Base salary: $55K–$65K + commission. There's no hurdle or draw to earn your base, commission, or benefits. Realistic first-year earnings for someone with no experience who performs: $75K–$115K (but we've seen some hit $120-$130k year 1). Top reps make quite a bit more. We don't cap commission.
What you'll actually be doing: You'll be on the phone. A lot. Prospecting real estate investors, qualifying leads, and walking borrowers through the right loan for their deal — bridge, fix-and-flip, ground-up, or rental. Before any of that, you'll learn how to structure and price loans, inside and out. Your job doesn't end when you bring in a borrower — you stay engaged through the process and after close to build repeat business. You'll work closely with our underwriting and processing team to keep deals moving. You're not just selling a product. You become an expert in financing & structuring of debt. You're directly involved in deals that renovate neglected properties and put roofs over people's heads. You'll see the before-and-after. That part only is rewarding.
How we generate business We don't buy recycled lead lists from some third party. Our leads are generated and curated in-house — we target the investors we want to work with and go after them. You'll have real opportunities in front of you from day one. What you do with them is on you. But, you're not left to your own. We provide real training and guidance on how to write & speak to leads.
How we train: We invest heavily in our people. First 30 days: you learn the industry, the products, the process. You shadow live calls. Toward the end of that first month, you start making your own calls — and we review them together. By day 60, you're running your own pipeline with spot coaching along the way. Beyond that, we do ongoing group training — call breakdowns, objection handling deep-dives, book reads, LinkedIn sales content reviews. This isn't a place that hands you a phone and says "figure it out."
What the team is like: Competitive but genuinely collaborative. People here help each other get better. We work hard, we track results, and we celebrate wins. If that sounds like a lot, it is. That's the point.
Who we're looking for: Sales experience is ideal. You must not be afraid of cold outreach — calls, emails, whatever it takes. Background in real estate lending or mortgage is a plus, but we'll teach the product and we'll teach the selling. What we can't teach is drive and mentality. You should be comfortable juggling multiple relationships, know your way around a CRM, and talk to people directly — no salesy fluff.
Growth: We're a growing company with a small team — there are no fake titles. But top performers get more responsibility, more autonomy, and more money. Our top rep is getting his own support staff. As we grow, leadership roles will exist because someone earned them.
Health, dental, and vision insurance. 401(k) with employer match. Generous PTO.
This is a full-time, in-office role in NYC — no remote or hybrid.
