Pro-Active Engineering is seeking

Account Manager - Electronics Manufacturing

to join our team. This role is responsible for developing, expanding, and maintaining high-level strategic relationships with assigned key customers. The Account Manager focuses on understanding each customer's business deeply and fostering strong executive‑to‑executive and department‑to‑department relationships. He or she remains hands‑off in transactional activities, partnering with our Inside Sales Team and instead serves as a strategic partner, growth advocate, and internal champion.

Essential Functions

Strategic Relationship Development

Build and maintain high‑level relationships with customer leadership and bridge gaps between organizations.

Facilitate introductions between Pro‑Active Engineering leaders and customer counterparts.

Represent Pro‑Active Engineering as a trusted partner and advisor.

Account Expertise & Customer Understanding

Develop deep understanding of each customer's business model, products, and goals and anticipate their needs.

Understand how customers place orders, manage forecasts, and sell their business.

Document account‑specific preferences and operational tendencies.

Evaluate account health and growth potential regularly.

Growth Planning & Playbook Ownership

Grow accounts strategically and consistently.

Create and maintain customer‑specific playbooks.

Outline growth targets, contacts, risks, gaps, and opportunities.

Establish timeline‑driven action plans with measurable milestones.

Support Pro‑Active Engineering's revenue and partnership goals.

Internal Escalation & Collaboration

Identify NPIs, prototypes, and new production requiring cross‑functional engagement.

Identify obstacles early and drive solutions.

Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, Program Management, and Operations.

Ensure internal alignment on customer expectations and strategy.

Customer Advocacy

Serve as the voice of the customer within the organization.

Surface risks or opportunities early.

Ensure satisfaction through proactive strategic support.

Travel Some travel to customers or events is expected for this position (approximately 20%).

Required Education and Experience

High School Diploma or equivalent.

5+ years of account management or customer‑facing experience in technical manufacturing.

Proficient with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint), ERP Systems, and Sales Software.

Understanding customer markets.

Experience developing growth strategies and execution plans.

Preferred Education and Experience

Associate's Degree in a related field.

Familiar with electronic assembly.

Experience working with Sales Force.

Mechanical aptitude.
