Role Description We are seeking a dedicated Golf Course Superintendent to oversee the maintenance and management of our prestigious 27-hole golf course. This full-time, on-site role located in Cedarburg, WI involves daily responsibilities such as organizing and supervising maintenance schedules, ensuring optimal course conditions, managing staff, and maintaining operational excellence. Additional tasks include equipment and irrigation system maintenance, implementing turfgrass management practices, and adapting strategies to improve course playability and safety.

Qualifications

Turfgrass management and agronomy expertise, including knowledge of pest control, fertilization, irrigation systems, and soil management

Strong leadership skills, with experience hiring, training, and supervising groundskeeping teams

Familiarity with golf course maintenance equipment, and the ability to manage its care and operation

Knowledge of environmental regulations, safety practices, and sustainable golf course maintenance techniques

Solid organizational and budgeting skills, with experience in managing operational budgets, contracts, and projects

Effective communication and collaboration skills to work closely with management, staff, and members

Bachelor’s degree in turfgrass management, agronomy, or a related field preferred

Previous experience as an Assistant or Head Golf Course Superintendent is highly desirable

Valid certification in pesticide application and knowledge of local/state regulations related to chemical use

Passion for delivering an exceptional member experience through superior course conditions
