The Role You will have the opportunity to influence and participate in every project within the office. This is a high-impact role where you will research, plan, and supervise aviation buildings projects from conception through construction. You will act as a primary consultant to clients—determining functional, spatial, and financial requirements—while ensuring our designs are operationally excellent and aesthetically impactful.

At Abstract Group, we provide access to the latest design technology, including advanced 3D printing, prototyping tools, and high-end media equipment. We don’t just use tools; we test, explore, and break them to find better ways to build.

Key Responsibilities

Project Leadership:

Oversee the full delivery of complex aviation projects, ensuring the highest quality, accuracy, and professionalism in all instruments of service.

Technical Oversight:

Manage code compliance, zoning regulations, and QA/QC processes to ensure seamless project execution.

Stakeholder Management:

Act as the liaison between internal design teams, external consultants, and clients.

Design Innovation:

Identify, research, and recommend new software applications and workflows (BIM, computational design, etc.) to enhance our collaborative output.

Collaborative Design:

Develop and present multiple design options to the team; remain open to iterative feedback and refinements to reach the best possible solution.

Mentorship:

Guide and support junior staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning and graphic sensibility.

Qualifications Basic Requirements

Education:

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture.

Experience:

10+ years in architectural practice, with a proven track record of leading construction document production.

Software Proficiency:

Expert-level knowledge of

Revit

and AutoCAD.

Technical Knowledge:

Thorough understanding of building codes, zoning, and the coordination of consultants through Construction Administration (CA).

Visualization:

Strong skills in 3D design and storytelling using tools like

Rhino, Lumion, V-Ray, and the Adobe Creative Suite .

Preferred Skills & Experience

Experience

specifically with large-scale infrastructure or aviation projects.

Licensure : Registered Architect (RA) status.

Communication:

Exceptional writing and storytelling ability through graphics, photography, and infographics.

Initiative:

A "jump-in" mentality with the ability to balance multiple high-priority responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.

Engagement:

Active participation in online design communities or developing tools for architectural workflows.
