An established firm is looking to add an experienced
Relationship Manager
to support and manage client relationships tied to deferred compensation plans.
This role is ideal for someone with a strong understanding of IRC Section 409A who enjoys being client‑facing, detail‑oriented, and consultative in their approach.
What you’ll do
Act as a primary point of contact for clients and advisors, delivering high-quality service and building long-term relationships
Support plan sponsors and participants with questions related to plan structure, enrollment, reporting, and ongoing administration
Coordinate key plan activities such as enrollments, distributions, communications, and plan updates
Collaborate with internal teams to ensure accurate data, reporting, and execution of plan-related events
Clearly communicate tax, accounting, payroll, and deferred compensation concepts to a variety of audiences
Work with clients and external partners to ensure plans operate in compliance with applicable regulations
Review plan documentation and assist with plan changes or enhancements
Understand plan liabilities and informal funding strategies and how they align with overall plan design
What we’re looking for
3+ years of experience supporting nonqualified deferred compensation plans
Strong working knowledge of IRC Section 409A
Familiarity with informal funding approaches used in nonqualified plans
Self‑motivated, proactive, and comfortable working independentlyHigh ethical standards and commitment to confidentiality
Compensation & Benefits
Salary range: $50,000‑$85,000, depending on experience
Full benefits package and paid time off
