Asset Performance Partners Inc. is seeking an
Asset Performance Engineer
to support reliability, maintenance, and asset performance improvement projects across industrial manufacturing and heavy‑industry facilities in the United States.
This role is ideal for an engineer with practical plant experience who enjoys working directly with equipment, supporting maintenance improvement initiatives, and spending time on‑site with clients. The position is
based in Richmond, VA , with
hybrid/remote work between site visits , and requires
extensive U.S. travel.
Responsibilities
Support reliability and asset performance improvement projects at client facilities.
Perform equipment assessments on industrial systems, including rotating equipment, process equipment, and supporting utilities.
Assist with Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and failure investigations, including data gathering and documentation.
Support the development, review, and improvement of preventive and predictive maintenance tasks.
Work within Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) such as SAP or Maintenance Connection to:
Update and validate asset master data
Assist with Bill of Materials (BOM) alignment
Participate in Reliability‑Centered Maintenance (RCM) workshops and structured maintenance reviews.
Support on‑site execution of projects in collaboration with client maintenance and operations teams.
Prepare technical documentation, reports, and engineering deliverables and work under the guidance of senior engineers and project managers.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in
Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering
or a related discipline.
3–8 years of experience in industrial maintenance, reliability engineering, process engineering, or asset performance roles.
Experience working in manufacturing, processing, energy, or heavy‑industry environments.
Familiarity with industrial equipment, maintenance practices, and plant operations.
Experience using a CMMS (SAP, Maintenance Connection, or similar).
Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to work effectively in industrial plant environments.
Good written and verbal communication skills.
Travel Requirement
Extensive travel within the United States is required.
Typical travel ranges from
40% to 80% , including multi‑week stays at client sites.
Ability to travel up to
5 days per week
during active project phases.
Preferred Attributes
