Purpose Assist in parts and service operations within the dealership to deliver on our promise to consistently exceed expectations of external and internal customers while maximizing return on investment through parts and service sales, inventory control, and expense control. Responsible for selling, receiving, and delivery of parts and service.
Responsibilities
Communicates and monitors effective Parts Department processes to ensure internal and external customer service
Assist in managing the flow of work in the service department. Communicate with the customer throughout the repair process and invoicing. Works with the service manager to maintain an efficient and profitable service department while developing and maintaining a high level of overall customer satisfaction.
Sells service labor and parts with a focus on technician productivity so that the service department goals are achieved.
Assist in the evaluation of the service department’s performance against target goals and standards, taking appropriate corrective action when needed
Reviews work orders, time, description of work done and works with Service MGR to bill work orders
Communicate service quotes to customers and planning work schedules
Maintains cleanliness, organization of shop, service area, and along with Service Manager ensures overall upkeep of facility and grounds
Promote parts, attachments and/or services to exceed customer needs
Responsive to internal and external customers at the counter, shop and on the phone or through e-mail
Handles inbound parts calls, research and places parts orders
Performs follow-up calls with key accounts & addresses concerns as a solution specialist
Executes Parts and Service Department marketing plan and monitors monthly to ensure achievement of departmental goals
Receipts in shipments of parts and equipment daily and assist with placing vendor orders
Works with the TEAM to keep a clean and organized department
Monitors shortages, overages and returns by customers to vendors
Follows-up on backorders and communicates to internal and external customers
Assist in submitting parts warranty and return claims within the guidelines set by Boss JCB
Be self-motivated and energetic, paying close attention to the detail
Experience, Education, Skills and Knowledge
3+ years’ experience in Parts or Service Department operations
Experience in the automotive or equipment industry
Ability to use standard desktop load applications such as Microsoft Office & internet
Must be highly organized, detail oriented, results driven, works well under pressure
Ability to prioritize and handle numerous tasks simultaneously
Ability to write and speak effectively to internal and external customers
Basic understanding of Parts and Service Department operations
Ability to analyze and interpret internal reports
Excellent customer service skills & passionate about PARTS & REPAIR
Experience connecting with customers through the selling process & building relationships
Able to lift up to 50lbs
Bi-lingual is a plus
High School Diploma or Equivalent Experience
