The Role We’re hiring a Lifecycle Email Marketing Manager to own and optimize the entire customer journey—from first touch to long-term retention and reactivation. This role goes beyond traditional email marketing. You will architect end-to-end lifecycle communication strategies that drive acquisition, conversion, retention, and lifetime value.
You will be responsible for designing and executing data-driven email and lifecycle campaigns that guide customers through every stage of the funnel: lead capture, nurture, first purchase, repeat purchase, loyalty, and win-back.
The ideal candidate understands both performance marketing and customer experience, combining strong analytical thinking with creative campaign execution to maximize revenue per customer.
What You’ll Do Lifecycle Strategy & Ownership
Own the full lifecycle email strategy, ensuring a seamless customer journey from first interaction to loyal repeat customer.
Build and manage a strategic email calendar aligned with product launches, promotions, seasonal campaigns, and retention initiatives.
Acquisition & Pre-Purchase Conversion
Design and optimize pre-purchase customer journeys to convert subscribers into first-time buyers.
Manage flows such as: Welcome series; Lead magnet nurture sequences; Browse abandonment; Cart abandonment; Offer and reminder sequences
Develop offer-driven promotional campaigns that turn interest into purchase while maintaining brand integrity.
Post-Purchase & Retention Programs
Create and optimize post-purchase flows that increase repeat purchase and customer lifetime value, including:
Cross-sell and upsell campaigns
Loyalty and VIP programs
Implement reactivation and win-back campaigns for dormant customers.
Leverage customer data, engagement signals, and purchase behavior to deliver personalized messaging that increases conversion and retention.
Campaign Execution & Testing
Translate lifecycle goals into clear creative briefs including messaging angles, product proof, offer positioning, urgency, and calls-to-action.
Lead continuous A/B testing across subject lines, messaging frameworks, offers, creative formats, and send timing.
Optimize campaigns to maximize conversion rates, revenue per recipient, and customer lifetime value.
Partner with Paid Media, eCommerce, CRM, and Creative teams to ensure consistent messaging and aligned offers across email, landing pages, paid ads, and onsite experiences.
Ensure lifecycle messaging complements broader growth and acquisition strategies.
Performance Monitoring & Optimization
Monitor lifecycle performance daily and weekly across key metrics including: Revenue per recipient (RPR); Conversion rate; Click-through rate (CTR); List growth; Customer retention rate; Unsubscribe and deliverability metrics
Use insights to continuously refine campaigns and improve customer journey performance.
Brand & Compliance
Ensure all lifecycle messaging maintains consistent brand voice, tone, and storytelling.
Adhere to supplement marketing compliance standards and ensure all claims, product descriptions, and promotional messaging meet regulatory guidelines.
Have 2–5+ years in DTC/eCommerce email marketing with heavy promo/campaign execution
Know how to build campaigns around offers that convert (bundles, BOGO, gifts, limited drops, first-order incentives)
Are confident in Klaviyo (or similar ESP): segmentation, templates, analytics, automation logic
Think like a marketer and an operator—organized, fast, and obsessive about QA
Can look at results and immediately turn them into a tighter next send (angle, offer, audience, timing)
