
Marketing Researcher III

A client with Kforce is seeking a Market Research Contractor to join their team in Mountain View, CA. Our client’s Global Business Solutions Group is looking for an experienced Market Research Contractor to support the Mid Market Research Team. This role will work on delivering insights for the client’s QuickBooks products for the Mid Market Segment, partnering closely with marketing, product, and design teams to support the successful launch of products and services. The role requires strong end-to-end research expertise and hands‑off experience programming surveys in Qualtrics. The ideal candidate is customer‑obsessed, analytically rigorous, and comfortable partnering with cross‑functional teams in a fast‑paced environment.
Responsibilities
Design and execute quantitative and qualitative research studies to support MM Products
Translate business questions into clear research objectives, methodologies, and actionable outputs
Conduct in‑depth customer sessions to address business objectives and synthesize findings
Program, test, and launch surveys in Qualtrics, including advanced logic, branching, quotas, randomization, and embedded data
Manage fieldwork, including recruiting customers and vendor management if needed
Analyze quantitative data (cross‑tabs, segmentation, drivers analysis, etc.) and synthesize qualitative insights
Develop compelling executive‑ready presentations with clear, actionable recommendations
Present findings to cross‑functional stakeholders including Product, Marketing, UX, and Strategy teams
Requirements
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Marketing, Market Research, Business Administration, Psychology, Statistics, or Data Analytics
7+ years of work experience as a marketing researcher, preferably in the technology sector
Experience on the vendor side is also applicable
Passionate about customer insights and comfortable working across disciplines with cross‑functional teams
Experience with various qualitative and quantitative research methodologies such as ethnography, contextual interviews, surveys, conjoint, market segmentation, positioning, customer journeys, and more
Ability to distill research findings into clear, compelling data‑backed presentations, data visualizations, infographics, and storytelling
Great interpersonal skills to collaborate with a wide diversity of colleagues in other disciplines and cultures
Experience programming surveys and performing data analysis and synthesis from DIY software (specifically Qualtrics) is preferred
Experience with SPSS is a plus
Familiarity with design thinking and lean experimentation is a plus
Ability to design and conduct usability tests using user testing a plus
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
