Maxwood Furniture is a rapidly growing furniture company with an expanding portfolio of brands including Max & Lily, Plank + Beam, and Maxtrix. Since launching over two decades ago, we’ve built multiple sales channels across DTC websites and third-party marketplaces. We’re passionate about designing inspiring, on-trend furniture that brings customers’ home décor dreams to life.

We are seeking a Senior Brand Manager to lead strategy, positioning, and growth across one or more of our brands. This role will play a critical part in driving performance, ensuring brand consistency, and identifying opportunities to scale within a fast-moving, multi-channel environment.

Role Overview

The Senior Brand Manager owns brand strategy and performance across digital and marketplace channels. This role partners cross-functionally with Marketing, Advertising, Analytics, Operations, Innovation, and 3P teams to align positioning, drive revenue growth, and strengthen brand presence across all customer touchpoints.

This is a highly strategic, performance-oriented role for someone who can translate insights into action and influence across teams.

Responsibilities

  • Lead brand strategy and positioning to ensure clear differentiation and market relevance.
  • Own and evolve brand messaging frameworks across DTC and marketplace channels.
  • Partner with Marketing and Advertising to develop campaigns that drive awareness, engagement, and conversion.
  • Collaborate with 3P teams (Amazon and other marketplaces) to ensure brand integrity and performance alignment.
  • Work closely with Analytics to interpret performance data and guide growth strategies.
  • Identify customer insights, category trends, and competitive dynamics to inform brand direction.
  • Partner with Innovation to align new product initiatives with brand positioning and go-to-market strategy.
  • Contribute to pricing, assortment strategy, and channel prioritization decisions.
  • Support forecasting, revenue planning, and performance targets for assigned brand(s).
  • Prepare and present strategic recommendations and performance updates to senior leadership.
  • Mentor and guide junior team members as applicable.
  • Drive continuous improvement in brand processes, planning, and execution.

Requirements

  • 7–10+ years of experience in Brand Management, Marketing, or related field
  • 10+ years preferred
  • Proven experience leading brand strategy for consumer products
  • Strong understanding of e-commerce and marketplace dynamics
  • Experience partnering with Advertising and Analytics teams to drive performance
  • Ability to translate data into strategic recommendations
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Experience influencing cross-functional teams

Preferred

  • Experience in furniture, home goods, or consumer lifestyle brands
  • Experience in DTC and marketplace-driven businesses
  • Experience scaling brands in high-growth environments
