Senior Production Artist

Who You'll Work With:

  • You will report directly to the Production Art Senior Manager, while working in collaboration with fellow Graphic Production Artists and Graphic Designers. Your primary cross functional partners will be Apparel Design, Graphic Design, Product Management, Technical Design, Development, and Material Development.

Special Project for a Production Graphic Designer for the Golf Production Artist Apparel Digital Design team. They'll support SanMar (golf brand) by placing/adding logos to exciting blank products for tournament and golf leagues. This role is on the production side of design and for performance based products.

Portfolios: schematic examples, production examples, 3-5 examples with relevant to logo usage

Must Haves:
  • 5+ YOE in Design and production work for apparel
  • Experience with logo applications on blank products
  • Can pull design specs and adjust design lines as needed

Nice:
  • Experience in color and print, pattern design, helping with AOP (all over print) color work, screen printing, line art, trims, and flats (2d line art for garments)
  • Interested in Golf production design and has a knowledge of golf culture
  • Can independently run this work, partner with design team, has lead similar work steams

  • We are looking for a Senior Production Artist to join the Apparel Production team.
  • We are looking for a designer who loves the technical details of the graphic process as well as finding new ways of working. We are experts at putting art on both physical prototypes and digital renders.
  • This role amplifies design by delivering flawless, production-ready files.
  • They are a trusted resource within the team, creating detailed and accurate schematics, with the ability to run point for Production Art within given categories by attending meetings, identifying personal action items, and being available as the go-to production resource for a greater, cross-functioning team.
  • This candidate needs to have a creative mindset and the ability to manage multiple projects in a time-sensitive environment, while keeping production moving forward.

Description:
  • Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Apparel/Fashion Design or related field or equivalent combination of education, experience and training
  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in a design and/or production environment
  • Knowledge of Apparel product creation and product life cycles
  • Proficient knowledge of Illustrator and Adobe Suite
  • Proficient in sketching, layout, print and pattern, and color theory
  • Knowledge of graphic applications such as ink types and trim substrates
  • Expert-Level listening, communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to navigate ambiguity while continuing to collaborate with the team
  • Laser focus on the critical details that often get missed
  • Ability to multi-task amidst competing priorities
  • Curiosity for learning and building a strong design community
  • Experience in 3D apparel programs (CLO or Browzwear) is a plus
  • Understanding of Smartsheet, Airtable, and Miro is a plus
  • A love for sports is a bonus but a love for design is essential

What You'll Work On:
  • If this is you, you will be working on Golf Apparel product across tees and cut and sew.You'll work with Product Management and Design to create and finalize graphic and Apparel design line details and changes across multiple levels of product.
  • You'll also monitor the development of prototype samples and interact with Technical Design and Development.
  • You will be inspired and challenged by a wide range of responsibilities and experiences.
  • You will do this by leveraging 2D and 3D tools. A typical day could include Production Art and Design meetings and alignment, product briefs, fit sessions, high-volume schematic creation and Client-down product page creation, creating documentation for downstream partners and reviewing prototypes and strike-offs. In addition to creation, you will be responsible for tracking and maintaining updates on all appropriate files for accuracy through final approval.
  • You will learn new tools and advocate for efficiencies in the product creation life cycle.
