Position Summary Visit Tallahassee isseekinga creative, motivated Marketing Intern to support our marketing team in promoting Tallahassee as a vibrant and competitive destination. This role offers hands‑on experience across digital marketing, content creation, and event activation within the tourism and sports industries.
The ideal candidate is a strong storyteller, social media savvy, and eager to gain real‑world experience in destination marketing.
Key Responsibilities
Social Media Management
Assistin managing and creating content for Visit Tallahassee’s sports and meetings social media channels
Draft captions, schedule posts, andmonitorengagement
Identifytrends and contribute creative ideas for campaigns and content series
Content Development
Write blog posts, website content, and curated itineraries that align with marketing campaigns
Support storytelling efforts that highlight Tallahassee’s unique experiences, partners, and events
Creative Support
Develop basic graphics and short‑form video content using tools such as Canva andCapCutfor digital and social platforms
Event & Activation Support
Assistwith in‑market activations, events, and promotional initiatives
Represent Visit Tallahassee at community events, including tabling and visitor engagement
Visitor Services Support
Provide support during tabling opportunities andassistwith distributing visitor information and materials
Serve as a friendly and knowledgeable ambassador for the destination
Qualifications
Currently enrolled in a program in Marketing, Communications, Tourism, Hospitality, or a related field
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Familiarity with social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, LinkedIn)
Experience withAdobe Creative Suite,Canva,CapCut, or similar content creation tools
Passion for marketing and interest in tourism, sports, events,ordestination marketing
Organized, detail‑oriented, and able to manage multiple projects
Positive attitude and willingness to learn in a fast‑paced environment
Preferred Skills
Basic photography and/or videography skills
Experience writing blogs or long‑form content
Familiarity with social media analytics or scheduling tools
