Junior Plumbing Designer

JALRW Engineering Group is seeking a motivated Junior Plumbing Designer to join our multidisciplinary engineering team in Miami. This position offers an excellent opportunity to work alongside experienced engineers and designers on high-profile commercial and residential projects while developing strong technical skills in plumbing system design.
The ideal candidate is early in their career, eager to learn, and interested in growing into a senior plumbing design or engineering role within a collaborative engineering environment.
Responsibilities
Assist in the design of plumbing and fire protection systems for commercial, hospitality, residential, and mixed-use projects
Develop plumbing system layouts and schematics using Revit
Produce construction drawings, riser diagrams, and schedules
Perform basic plumbing calculations under the guidance of senior engineers
Coordinate with mechanical, electrical, and architectural disciplines within BIM models
Participate in internal coordination meetings and design reviews
Support preparation of permit and construction documents
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Hydraulic or Civil Engineering, or related engineering field (or equivalent design experience)
2–4 years of plumbing design experience in an MEP consulting environment preferred
Proficiency or working knowledge of Revit and AutoCAD
Basic understanding of plumbing codes and building systems
Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn
Good communication and teamwork skills
