# **Description****Job Description: Geographic Expansion Community Launch & Engagement Specialist****Overview**The Geographic Expansion team is seeking a highly organized, proactive, and detail‐oriented Community Launch & Engagement Specialist to support the planning, communication, and execution of Community Launch events across multiple markets.This role partners closely with local teams, cross‐functional partners, and external vendors to ensure seamless event preparation, exceptional launch experiences, and strong community engagement. The Specialist manages logistics, facilitates meetings, and supports the operational readiness necessary for successful events.**Key Responsibilities****Project & Calendar Coordination*** Maintain updates to the master Community Launch calendar and overall project timelines.* Schedule and support planning meetings with internal partners and external collaborators.* Manage the Community Launch inbox, providing timely responses and follow‐through.* Track deliverables, tasks, and updates using Microsoft Planner and other project tools.**Planning & Stakeholder Coordination*** Confirm event date, timing, and branch‐specific needs, working with the local team on preferences.* Coordinate early vision discussions to align on goals, themes, and expected outcomes.* Facilitate approvals related to parking, logistics, or operational adjustments.* Distribute and maintain the Community Launch toolkit.* Coordinate with Marketing to secure creative assets.* Manage spend and budget tracking in partnership with the Regional Marketing Manager.**Vendor & Logistics Coordination*** Research and secure vendors in collaboration with local teams, with a preference for Huntington customer and prospect partners.* Maintain a comprehensive vendor tracking system to monitor all booked services, ordered materials, delivery timelines, and fulfillment status throughout the planning process.* Manage relationships and logistics with vendors.**Run‐of‐Show & Event Preparedness*** Develop and finalize the event Run‐of‐Show timelines, and responsibilities.* Conduct final reviews and distribute updated materials to involved partners.**Invitation & Guest Experience Management*** Prepare and distribute Community Launch invitation.* Coordinate with local teams to manage RSVPs.* Support the Founder’s Circle selection process and oversee plaque production and ordering.* Creation and distribution of “Know Before You Go” communications.**Event-Day Support***(On‐site attendance as business need dictates)** Bring and organize all required event materials and supplies.* Manage all event setup/teardown.* Lead on‐site event day coordination as the primary point of contact, ensuring smooth execution.**Post‐Event Coordination*** Collect and organize event photos from the Greenhouse team or contracted photographers.* Participate in post‐event debrief sessions to discuss outcomes, learnings, and opportunities.* Document insights to enhance future Community Launch experiences.**Administrative & Operational Support*** Maintain organized digital files, templates, and communication assets.* Support process improvements and updates to Community Launch documents, toolkits, and workflows.* Assist with special projects and initiatives aligned to team priorities.* Provide administrative support as needed to the Geographic Expansion team.**Location & Travel Requirements****Residency Requirement**Specialist must reside in Charlotte, North Carolina.**Market/Region Coverage**This role is accountable for supporting Community Launches and engagement activities across:* North Carolina* South Carolina* *Note:* as the Carolinas expansion matures, this role will assume additional responsibilities supporting future market growth and geographic expansion efforts across newly developing regions. Candidate must be adaptable to evolving business needs.**Travel Expectations**The position requires approximately 30% travel within the assigned market region to support events, meetings, site visits, and vendor coordination.**Basic Qualifications:*** Bachelor’s Degree* 4+ years of experience in community development, financial education, or related field.**Preferred Qualifications:*** Knowledge of CRA requirements and community engagement best practices.* Strong communication and presentation skills, including experience with diverse audiences.* Proficiency in Microsoft Office and data visualization tools.* Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently or collaboratively.* Experience in program execution and outcome measurement preferred.* Must be able to travel and work flexible hours including some overnight stays and Saturdays**Exempt Status: (Yes** = not eligible for overtime pay) (**No** = eligible for overtime pay)Yes**Workplace Type:**OfficeOur Approach to **Office** Workplace TypeCertain positions outside our branch network may be eligible for a flexible work arrangement.
