I. Position Overview The Paid Search & Local SEO Support role is responsible for the hands‑on execution of paid search campaigns and local SEO initiatives. This position manages Google Ads, Local Service Ads, and Bing Ads campaigns alongside Google Business Profile optimization, local citation management, review management, and local SEO reporting — all working together to help TCMS clients generate qualified leads and maximize their local search visibility. The ideal candidate has strong technical skills across paid and organic local channels, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to translate data into actionable campaign improvements.
This role is accountable for delivering results across five key areas:
1. Account Setup & Maintenance Ensure all paid search accounts are properly configured, organized, and maintained according to TCMS standards and best practices.
Key Responsibilities
Create new Google Ads and Local Service Ads accounts or restructure existing accounts to conform to TCMS standards
Set up and configure Local Service Ads accounts, including verification and background check processes
Develop detailed ad profiles including business information, service areas, business hours, and services offered
Perform keyword research and develop keyword and negative keyword lists
Create ad groups and develop compelling ad copy aligned with client goals
Build landing pages using Unbounce and/or WordPress Beaver Builder, or provide content specifications for the web team
Set up conversion tracking using Google Tag Manager and/or WhatConverts, including form fills and call tracking
Test and verify that all conversion tracking is functioning correctly with proper attribution
Maintain organized, clean account structures that facilitate easy management and reporting
Success Metrics
All new accounts set up within established timelines and meeting quality standards
Conversion tracking verified and functioning correctly for 100% of accounts
Account structures follow TCMS naming conventions and organizational standards
All required verification processes completed without delays
2. Campaign Management Execute and optimize paid search campaigns to drive qualified leads while staying within client budgets.
Key Responsibilities
Set and manage budgets for Google Ads and LSA campaigns, ensuring cost‑effective lead generation
Adjust bids to ensure ads are competitive and achieve desired lead volumes
Continuously optimize campaigns to drive conversions while staying within budget
Implement A/B tests for ad copy, landing pages, and targeting (when appropriate)
Create remarketing campaigns using RLSA and audience lists when applicable
Monitor campaigns daily to quickly identify and resolve issues
Apply demographic, device, and geographic targeting based on strategy recommendations
Stay current on Google Ads platform changes, new features, and best practices
Follow established SOPs and best practices for all campaign management activities
Success Metrics
Campaigns optimized weekly with documented changes and rationale
Budget utilization within 5% of target (no significant underspend or overspend)
Issues identified and escalated or resolved within 24 hours
A/B tests running on appropriate accounts with documented learnings
3. Google Business Profile & Local SEO Management Manage and optimize Google Business Profiles and local SEO presence to maximize visibility and engagement in local search results.
Key Responsibilities
Set up, claim, and optimize Google Business Profile listings for new and existing clients
Maintain accurate and complete GBP information including business details, service areas, hours, photos, and services
Create and publish regular GBP posts aligned with seasonal campaigns and client promotions
Build and manage local citation listings across key directories (Google, Yelp, Bing Places, Angi, etc.)
Audit and correct NAP (Name, Address, Phone) inconsistencies across citation sources
Monitor and respond to Google reviews in accordance with TCMS review response guidelines
Flag negative reviews and elevate to the client success team when necessary
Proactively solicit reviews through established outreach processes when applicable
Identify and resolve GBP listing issues such as duplicate listings, suspended profiles, or incorrect edits
Success Metrics
GBP profiles fully optimized and updated for 100% of applicable clients
Citation audits completed on schedule with errors corrected within established timelines
Review responses published within 24–48 hours of receipt
No unresolved GBP suspensions or critical listing errors outstanding
4. Paid Search & Local SEO Analysis & Reporting Analyze campaign and local SEO performance data and deliver clear, actionable reporting to support client success.
Key Responsibilities
Set up and use Google Analytics goals and funnels to track and analyze paid campaign performance
Monitor and analyze key paid search metrics including lead volume, cost per lead, conversion rates, and ROAS
Track and report on local SEO KPIs including GBP views, search impressions, direction requests, call clicks, and review ratings
Work with Agency Analytics to build, maintain, and refine monthly client reports covering both paid and local SEO performance
Create and maintain analytics dashboards for all major metrics across paid and organic local channels
Use data to identify trends, issues, and opportunities for improvement across both channels
Provide performance insights and recommendations to the Head of Paid Search
Document campaign and optimization changes and their impact on performance
Proactively flag underperforming campaigns, GBP listings, or accounts that need attention
Success Metrics
Monthly reports delivered on schedule for all clients, covering both paid and local SEO performance
Dashboards accurate and up-to-date at all times
Performance trends and anomalies identified and communicated promptlyData-driven recommendations provided for both campaign optimization and local SEO improvements
III. Required Qualifications Education & Experience
2+ years of hands‑on experience setting ad strategies, building Google Search Ads campaigns, and actively managing them, including making independent decisions and executing work, not just following checklists or implementing changes directed by others.
Experience with Google Business Profile management and local SEO execution is strongly preferred. Google Search Ads individual certification required.
