Reporting to the Head of Sales, this role plays a critical part in identifying prospective clients, conducting outbound outreach, qualifying leads, and supporting the sales team throughout the early stages of the sales process. The BDR will collaborate closely with Sales Representatives, the Vice President of Business Development, and other sales team members to identify target accounts, schedule meetings, assist with pre-sales research, and support marketing initiatives. The ideal candidate brings strong outbound prospecting experience, familiarity with CRM platforms such as Salesforce, and the ability to engage potential clients through phone, email, and social media channels. This role also contributes to market awareness and brand visibility through digital engagement, marketing support, and participation in industry events. This position carries performance metrics and may include a sales quota tied to qualified pipeline generation, booked meetings, and revenue contribution.Salary range: $60,000 – $75,000 annually, commensurate with experience.**POSITION REQUIREMENTS:****Prospecting & Lead Generation:** Demonstrated ability to identify and engage prospective clients through outbound calls, targeted email campaigns, and social media outreach. Skilled at researching organizations and identifying decision-makers within carriers, MGAs, brokers, and self-insured entities.**Outbound Sales & Appointment Setting:** Experience executing high-volume outbound outreach campaigns to generate qualified meetings for sales leadership. Ability to effectively communicate value propositions and capture prospect interest in early-stage conversations.**Sales Pipeline Development:** Ability to identify, qualify, and nurture opportunities to support pipeline development. Works closely with Sales Representatives and business development leadership to ensure consistent lead flow and opportunity progression.**CRM & Sales Technology:** Proficiency using CRM platforms such as Salesforce to track outreach activities, manage leads, maintain accurate pipeline data, and support reporting and forecasting.**Marketing & Social Media Engagement:** Experience leveraging social platforms such as LinkedIn to identify prospects, engage decision-makers, and amplify company marketing content. Works closely with marketing teams to support campaigns, webinars, and digital outreach.**Pre-Sales Research & Market Intelligence:** Ability to conduct research on prospective clients, industries, and market trends to support sales strategy.
