We value agility, versatility, innovation, and creative problem-solving and put our people at the core of everything we do.**PRIMARY FOCUS:**Senior-level client advisor and team leader responsible for strategic benefits program management, carrier negotiations, compliance oversight, and direct oversight of Client Managers supporting the Select and Premier market team. Manages a book of Select and Premier market accounts, typically up to 100 enrolled lives, while providing leadership and direction to the client management staff servicing this segment.**JOB SUMMARY:**The Client Executive, Select/Premier serves as both a senior client advisor and a team leader for the Select and Premier market service team. This role manages an assigned book of Select and Premier market accounts, leads renewal strategy and carrier negotiations, and provides day-to-day direction and development to the Client Managers supporting this segment. This role requires 5 to 7 years of experience at an Employee Benefits agency or brokerage with demonstrated leadership ability and strong knowledge of the California fully insured market.**DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:****Client Service*** Oversee, analyze, and evaluate client risks across the Select and Premier market book; review benefit coverages to ensure quality of plan placement and recommend changes when required due to market shifts, exposure changes, or program improvement opportunities.* Demonstrate an in-depth understanding of Select and Premier market benefit plan designs and policy terms; clearly articulate this information to clients, prospects, and internal staff.* Direct and manage Client Manager(s) assigned to the Select/Premier team, including oversight of day-to-day account servicing, enrollment changes, plan amendments, billing reconciliation, and carrier communications.* Set clear expectations for Client Managers on service standards, workflows, and client communication; provide ongoing coaching, feedback, and professional development support.* Serve as the primary escalation point for Select/Premier Client Managers when complex or sensitive client issues arise; ensure timely and effective resolution.* Advise clients on benefit plan design, compliance requirements (ACA, ERISA, COBRA, HIPAA), and recommended plan improvements appropriate for the Select and Premier market segment.* Develop and maintain professional relationships with clients, support staff, insurance markets, and other Venbrook team members.* Keep client files in order; document all account activities in a clear and understandable manner consistent with Venbrook's procedures.**Marketing, Renewals & New Business*** Prepare benefit plan RFP submissions, lead market selection, and send submissions to carriers professionally and on schedule; conduct client calls independently or with Producer assistance.* Negotiate with carriers on plan design, rates, and benefits to obtain the most comprehensive coverage and competitive pricing for Select and Premier market clients.* Identify and act upon opportunities to grow account revenue through cross-selling additional coverages or referrals.* Follow up with carriers and monitor the quote and underwriting process to ensure all necessary time frames are met.* Prepare and deliver client presentations, coverage confirmation letters, renewal analyses, and compliance documents; direct Client Manager(s) to manage file setup and invoice processing.* Maintain current knowledge of industry trends, marketplace changes, carrier appetites, and plan offerings relevant to the Select and Premier market; share information with the team and assist Producer on sales calls as needed.* Lead open enrollment strategy for assigned clients, including preparation of employee communications, benefit guides, and carrier presentations; coordinate Client Manager support throughout the process.* Participate in Select/Premier team planning, workflow reviews, and capacity management discussions to ensure the team is resourced and organized to deliver a consistent service standard.**COMPETENCIES:*** Client Relationship Management: Highly alert to the needs of Select and Premier market clients; provides consistent, proactive service and manages difficult or sensitive client situations with diplomacy and professionalism.* Team Leadership: Directly manages and develops Client Manager(s) on the Select/Premier team; sets clear expectations, delivers constructive feedback, delegates effectively, and builds a high-performance service environment.* Communication Skills: Speaks clearly and persuasively; strong written communication skills including proposal writing, client deliverables, carrier correspondence, and internal team communications.* Coaching & Development: Invested in the growth of Client Managers; identifies skill gaps, provides ongoing guidance, and creates opportunities for professional development within the team.* Attention to Detail: Takes time to double-check work for accuracy; holds the team to a high-quality work product standard and maintains favorable reputations for self and Venbrook.* Problem Solving: Identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner at both the client and team level; develops alternative solutions and applies creative approaches when traditional methods are insufficient.* Presentation Skills: Able to independently organize and conduct client and carrier presentations appropriate for the Select and Premier market.* Sales & Growth Mindset: Understands cross-selling opportunities, identifies revenue growth within existing accounts, and supports Producer-led new business efforts.* Ethics: Committed to following company procedures; demonstrates ethical behavior in all business dealings.* Technical Expertise: Solid working knowledge of fully insured group benefit plan design including medical, dental, vision, life, disability, and voluntary benefits.
