Job Title: Director of Data & Business Insights

Overview

The Director of Data & Business Insights will lead the strategy, infrastructure, and communication of data across the brand. This role owns the company’s business intelligence function and is responsible for translating complex data into clear insights that guide strategic decision-making across departments.

This leader will manage data integrity and reporting across systems, build scalable dashboards and reporting frameworks, and serve as a key partner to leadership, providing actionable insights across e‑commerce, merchandising, marketing, finance, and planning.

Key Responsibilities

Business Intelligence Ownership

  • Own and manage the company’s internal business intelligence infrastructure.
  • Lead the development and maintenance of dashboards and reporting tools within Domo.
  • Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and accessibility across all business systems.

Data Management & Reporting

  • Oversee data pulls and integrations across all internal systems (e‑commerce, marketing platforms, ERP, finance, and planning tools).
  • Develop scalable reporting frameworks that support multiple teams and business functions.
  • Maintain a single source of truth for company performance metrics.

Customer & Business Analytics

  • Build and maintain customer reporting and segmentation across departments.
  • Develop customer profiles and lifecycle reporting to support growth, retention, and merchandising strategies.
  • Provide insights that inform decision-making across:
    • E‑commerce performance
    • Merchandising and product planning
    • Marketing performance and attribution
    • Financial forecasting
    • Inventory and demand planning

Insights & Data Storytelling

  • Translate complex datasets into clear, actionable insights for cross‑functional teams.
  • Present findings to stakeholders in a digestible and strategic way, especially for non‑technical audiences.
  • Identify key trends and opportunities to drive growth and operational efficiency.

Leadership & Cross‑Functional Partnership

  • Act as the central data partner for leadership and department heads.
  • Lead regular insights meetings with executive leadership and cross‑functional teams.
  • Proactively surface opportunities, risks, and performance trends across the business.

Qualifications

  • 8–10+ years of experience in data analytics, business intelligence, or strategy roles.
  • Strong experience building and managing BI tools, particularly Domo or similar platforms (Looker, Tableau, etc.).
  • Experience supporting data needs across multiple business functions including e‑commerce, marketing, merchandising, and finance.
  • Advanced SQL and data modeling skills.
  • Exceptional ability to synthesize data and communicate insights clearly to non‑technical stakeholders.
  • Experience presenting insights to senior leadership and influencing business decisions.
  • Strong organizational and cross‑functional collaboration skills.

Salary 165,000-$190,000 + bonus
