Job Summary
The Director of Finance leads both strategic and operational finance functions, partnering with executive leadership to ensure accurate reporting, strong controls, and data-driven decisions that support growth, profitability, and long-term enterprise value. This role also manages accounting operations, consolidations, and team development across multiple entities.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide financial leadership and insights for executive decision-making.
- Lead budgeting, rolling forecasts, and long-term financial planning.
- Perform advanced financial modeling, KPI development, and scenario analysis.
- Oversee monthly and annual close processes, including accruals and reconciliations.
- Manage multi-unit financial consolidations and reporting.
- Establish and maintain strong internal controls, accounting policies, and compliance procedures.
- Monitor cash flow, working capital, and liquidity.
- Lead finance system optimization and automation initiatives.
- Partner cross-functionally with operations, sales, and HR.
- Build, mentor, and manage the finance and accounting team.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field (CPA, CFA, or MBA preferred).
- 7–10+ years of progressive finance and accounting experience.
- Exposure to FP&A and accounting operations in multi-location, retail, or distribution environments.
- Experience with budgeting, forecasting, monthly close, and executive reporting.
- Strong leadership, analytical, and communication skills.
