DI Automation (DI AUT) is transforming how we engage with customers, digitally transforming American industries. We deliver differentiated, customer‑centric automation and industrial AI solutions. To realize this ambition, we must enable our organization with clear, scalable processes, smart technology, and focused enablement that improve both the seller and customer experience in alignment with global practices.

We are seeking a Director, Strategy, Sales Planning & Operations , to enable the organization to lead this transformation.

This role serves as a strategic partner to the President, Digital Industries US , translating commercial strategy into high‑impact initiatives and ensuring disciplined execution across the organization. The role sits at the intersection of DI AUT transformation, operations, and leadership enablement, orchestrating cross‑functional efforts across Sales, Delivery, IT, Finance, and across businesses.

You will lead the design and execution of the initiatives that shape how our go‑to‑market organization operates with clear operating cadence and enablement systems that improve seller effectiveness and customer engagement across the Attract‑Engage‑Deliver engagement model—from AI‑enabled selling and digital tool adoption to operational excellence . A close alignment and cooperation with Zone Americas Strategy Planning and Operations ensures globally aligned processes and tool implementation.

Success in this role means our teams operate with clarity of strategy, simplicity of process, and intelligent tools that unlock deeper customer engagement and stronger commercial outcomes .

What You’ll Drive

Transformation & Execution

  • Translate Grow the US commercial strategy into a small set of clear organizational priorities, executable roadmaps, and outcome‑based initiatives.
  • Continuously synthesize market signals, competitive intelligence, customer feedback, and internal performance data to identify growth opportunities, diagnose execution gaps, and adjust priorities in real time.
  • Ensure strategic initiatives move decisively from concept to execution to measurable impact, maintaining momentum, transparency, and leadership accountability.
  • Establish and run governance, operating cadence, and OKRs that track progress against strategic objectives and surface risks early.
  • Facilitate and shape senior leadership forums, including strategy reviews, operating reviews, and transformation deep‑dives, ensuring decisions translate into action.
  • Drive alignment across Sales, Marketing, Delivery, Finance, and Global/Zone Americas teams to ensure initiatives deliver enterprise‑level outcomes, not functional optimizations.

Sales Excellence & Commercial Operating Effectiveness

  • Lead enterprise initiatives from design through communication that elevate sales productivity, pipeline quality, engagement discipline, and commercial execution across the Attract–Engage–Deliver lifecycle.
  • Partner with Sales Operations, Finance, and Strategy to strengthen:
  • Growth through Verticals, Partners, OEMs, and Inside Sales
  • Target cascading, sales planning, forecasting, and performance management
  • Incentive structures and performance frameworks aligned to strategic priorities
  • Identify systemic friction points across the commercial engine and drive process simplification that makes it easier for sellers to engage customers, scale value, and expand relationships.

AI, Digital Enablement & Capability Building

  • Orchestrate and lead the design/evolution of a sales enablement ecosystem, integrating AI‑powered tools, data insights, and learning experiences to increase seller effectiveness and customer impact.
  • Drive adoption of AI‑enabled sales and engagement processes, embedding them into daily workflows and using performance data and feedback loops to continuously improve outcomes.
  • Partner with P&O, Sales Leadership, IT, and Global/Zone Americas teams to build scalable capability and upskilling programs that strengthen consultative selling, leadership effectiveness, and AI‑enabled customer engagement.
  • Serve as the business owner and orchestrator for CRM and digital sales platform adoption, ensuring tools reinforce the engagement model and deliver measurable productivity gains.

Qualifications

Required

  • 10+ years of experience in strategic execution, commercial operations, sales transformation, or business leadership within B2B or industrial environments.
  • Proven track record leading enterprise initiatives that drive measurable commercial impact .
  • Experience working with AI‑enabled tools, digital transformation, or advanced analytics in commercial environments .
  • Strong ability to influence and align senior stakeholders across functions and geographies .
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer‑sponsored work authorization.

You’ll Benefit From

Siemens offers a variety of health and wellness benefits to our employees. Details regarding our benefits can be found here: pay range for this position is $191,000 - $328,000 annually with a target incentive of 25% of the base salary. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.
