Position Overview
Our client is seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Specialist to support daily accounting operations and ensure accurate financial records. This role handles a mix of general ledger activities, reconciliations, and transactional accounting while assisting with month-end close and reporting.

Accounting Specialist Key Responsibilities

• Perform day-to-day accounting transactions, including journal entries and account reconciliations
• Support month-end and year-end close processes
• The Accounting Specialist will assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable functions as needed
• Maintain general ledger accuracy and resolve discrepancies
• Prepare and analyze financial reports and supporting schedules
• The Accounting Specialist will ensure compliance with GAAP and internal accounting policies
• Assist with audit preparation and respond to documentation requests
• The Accounting Specialist will support process improvements and special accounting projects

Qualifications of the Accounting Specialist Role

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• 1–2 years of accounting or finance experience
• Working knowledge of GAAP and general accounting principles
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting systems/ERP software
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
