Head of Commercial Finance

Relate Search has partnered with a leading global manufacturer and distributor of engineered surface solutions in their search for a Commercial FP&A Leader. Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, this role will serve as a strategic finance partner to the Sales Leadership team, supporting financial planning and analysis activities including budgeting, forecasting, profitability analysis, and performance reporting. The role will provide timely reporting, data‑driven insights, and financial recommendations to support decision‑making and organizational growth. This position will also oversee the planning, forecasting, and reporting of sales results in partnership with sales leadership and will lead the administration of sales commissions and variable compensation programs in coordination with Human Resources, Payroll, and Accounting.

Responsibilities

• Lead FP&A activities for the sales organization including monthly reporting, forecasting, and annual budget preparation.
• Partner with sales leadership to provide financial analysis, insights, and recommendations supporting short‑range and long‑range planning processes.
• Consolidate and interpret financial and operational data, generate management reporting, and identify opportunities to improve consistency across business units.
• Develop sales and operational reporting including sales efficiency analysis, pipeline analytics, quota attainment, and revenue forecasting insights.
• Oversee the administration of sales commissions and variable compensation programs, partnering with Human Resources, Payroll, and Accounting to ensure accurate plan development and payment execution.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
• 7+ years of experience in finance, accounting, or financial reporting.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with a high degree of attention to detail.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data analysis.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate across functions.
