Network Engineer – Job Number: R

In this role you will help the Department of Defense craft a secure, well‑designed network to move data and enable critical missions. Design, acquire, install, configure, and maintain backbone and access networks, working with DoD SMEs, customers, and users to shape requirements and plan acquisition, installation, and operation.

Job Responsibilities

• Collaborate with DoD stakeholders to understand strategic goals and operational needs shaping the network requirements.
• Plan acquisition, installation, configuration, and maintenance of network components.
• Resolve interoperability issues across platforms and support acquisition of hardware.
• Apply expertise in backbone networks, cloud technologies, and core networking.

You Have

  • 2+ years of experience designing, deploying, and supporting multi‑protocol IP backbone and access networks
  • Experience with Layer 2 and Layer 3 networking
  • Experience deploying, upgrading, and troubleshooting multi‑vendor network and security equipment, including Palo Alto, Cisco, Juniper, Dell, HPE, or VMware
  • Experience with routers, switches, and protocols such as BGP, IS-IS, OSPF, MPLS, LDP, RSVP, VPLS, STP, or L3VPNs
  • Experience with classified networks
  • Knowledge of operating, deploying, or administering Linux or UNIX systems
  • Secret clearance
  • HS diploma or GED
  • Ability to obtain a DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification within 6 months of hire date

Nice If You Have

  • Experience with DoD networks
  • Experience with STIGging or security hardening of systems
  • Experience operating, deploying, or administering Windows systems and services
  • Experience with commercial or DoD cloud networks
  • Experience with Software‑Defined Wide Area Networks (SD‑WAN)
  • Experience documenting complex network and security systems and procedures

NC3 Execution Expert – Job Number: R

As an NC3 Execution Expert you will support the United States Strategic Command on advanced defense missions, leveraging your industry knowledge and advisory skills to solve complex problems and implement mission‑forward solutions.

Job Responsibilities

• Bring management and expertise in mission execution and operations to a multidisciplinary team of NC3 professionals.
• Assist in the research and design of new mission technologies for U.S. Strategic Command.
• Participate in operational analysis, operational or developmental testing, and support mobile operations activities such as technical performance evaluations, staff assistance, and integrated mission area training.

You Have

  • 3+ years of experience advising senior leaders on the nation’s strategic deterrence
  • 3+ years of experience on an NC2 battle staff
  • 3+ years of experience performing NC2 or NC3 missions
  • Experience with mobile operations
  • Ability to travel up to 25 % of the time
  • TS‑SCI clearance
  • Bachelor’s degree

Nice If You Have

  • Experience supporting U.S. Strategic Command missions
  • Experience with operational or developmental testing
  • Experience supporting government mobile operations activities such as technical performance evaluations, staff assistance visits, and integrated mission area training
  • Master’s degree

Clearance

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and must have the eligibility to access classified information. TS‑SCI clearance is required.

Compensation

The projected compensation range for this position is $86,800.00 to $198,000.00 (annualized USD). Salary is determined by location, education, skills, experience, and contract requirements.
