The Grand Rapids Gold, the NBA G League affiliate of the Denver Nuggets, are seeking a driven and results-oriented professional to serve as the Director of Corporate Partnership Sales & Activation.
Job Summary
This role is responsible for generating new revenue through the development and sale of strategic corporate partnerships. The Director will identify, cultivate, and close new business opportunities by leveraging the organization’s full portfolio of marketing assets, including in-arena signage, media, hospitality, digital platforms, and special events.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following
- Proactively identify and cultivate new corporate partnership opportunities across local, regional, and national markets.
- Develop customized, results-driven proposals and presentations aligned with each prospective partner’s objectives and KPIs.
- Manage the full sales cycle, including prospecting, pitching, negotiating, and closing new business.
- Collaborate with internal departments to create new inventory and revenue-generating assets.
- Maintain a strong pipeline of qualified prospects and consistently meet or exceed individual revenue goals.
- Oversee post-sale activation to ensure seamless execution and long-term partner success.
- Partner with the game operations team to secure and prioritize game dates and in-arena promotional elements, including on-court activations, LED signage, video features, pregame and halftime presentations, and honorary recognitions.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree required.
- 5+ years in sales and business development role; sports sponsorship is a plus.
- Demonstrated success in closing complex, high-value deals with senior decision-makers.
