Job Summary

This position shall have the responsibility of administering and supervising the total special education program in collaboration with the Director of Special Education and Specialized Instruction and the Director of Special Education - Procedural Support and Compliance. The Director of Special Education and Programs and Development directly oversees areas of programming and special education operations to include, but not limited to, eligibility and child find, post-secondary transition, related services, as well as areas of development for priorities set forth in the strategic plan. This position also oversees the Virginia IEP system, data and state reporting, and related functions such as Medicaid Billing, Extended School Year programming, consultation around discipline of students with disabilities, and other special projects. This position leads a large team of staff to carry out these functions.

Salary

Grade 20: $131,653 - $213,412 per year (competitive benefits)
