The Associate Director provides leadership and development to managers and specialized staff and ensures consistency of operations between clinical laboratories, anatomic pathology, medical center leadership and various departments throughout the Medical Center. The Associate Director works with members of the faculty and staff to ensure the provision of high-quality patient care while ensuring the financial viability of the programs, benchmarking, productivity objectives, development, and implementation of strategic growth plans, operational, financial, facilities, outreach, and other business activities across the system. The clinical labs are responsible for pre-analytic, analytic, and post-analytic functions on clinical specimens to obtain information about the health of a patient pertaining to the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of disease, assisting care providers with clinical information related to patient care, education, and research.**Position Summary**The Associate Director provides leadership and expertise as they develop, align, and operationalize the program's clinical, academic, and research activities to support the overall OSUWMC goals and implement key initiatives through interdisciplinary collaboration. The Associate Director assists with oversight of the department(s), including operational metrics and dashboards, project/operational support, facilities support, audit coordination and compliance, strategic planning, and all other administrative and operational management matters specific to the department. The Associate Director promotes an environment that facilitates patient and staff satisfaction and a culture of team development and professional growth and participates in professional organizations and workgroups to promote the organization's image externally. This role will also support a strategic vision for growth or improvements that will enhance the department operations and policy compliance and support the laboratories, including auditing compliance with CAP/CLIA/NYS regulations and health system policies. This position directly reports to the AP Operations Director and works with the Lab Compliance, Division and Medical Directors.**Job Requirements**Bachelor's Degree in Medical Technology or Biological Sciences. American Society for Clinical Pathology in Medical Technologist or Medical Lab Scientist. 7 years of relevant experience required. 12 or more years of relevant experience preferred.## Additional Information:Clinical Laboratories / Lab Compliance -
