Job Summary: Station 31 Partners’ affiliate, MTAG Services, is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Junior Asset Manager to join our Servicing and third‑party asset management team supporting alternative asset portfolios. This role offers an opportunity to gain hands‑on experience in securitized asset management, working closely with senior team members to monitor, analyze, and service a portfolio of assets. The position is ideal for candidates with strong analytical skills, an interest in real estate and structured finance, and a desire to build a career in asset management.
Responsibilities:
Asset Monitoring & Reporting
Assist in monitoring the performance of specialty financed securitization assets, including collections, delinquencies, prepayments, and recoveries.
Prepare periodic asset management, servicing, and performance reports for internal stakeholders, rating agencies, and investors.
Track compliance with servicing agreements, trust documents, and investor requirements.
Debtor Interaction & Payment Processing
Answer inbound calls from debtors regarding payments, account status, and settlement options.
Process payments and assist in structuring and documenting payment plans.
Property & Collateral Analysis
Conduct property‑level due diligence to evaluate collateral and asset quality.
Perform REO and foreclosure analysis, including valuation review and liquidation strategies.
Support legal, bankruptcy, and default administration processes to ensure timely resolution of distressed assets.
External Partner Coordination
Work with external service providers, including attorneys, appraisers, brokers, and environmental firms, to support servicing and asset resolution activities.
Collaborate with trustees, third‑party servicers, and internal stakeholders to ensure servicing obligations are met.
Data Analysis & Reconciliation
Review and reconcile loan‑level and trust‑level data to ensure accuracy and completeness.
Support the team in identifying trends, risks, and opportunities across the asset pool.
Assist in preparing financial models and performance summaries for management review.
Compliance & Documentation
Assist with maintaining compliance records, servicing guidelines, and trust documentation.
Ensure that asset‑level documentation and servicing files are properly tracked and updated.
Requirements:
0–2 years of professional experience (internships in asset management, servicing, securitization, or real estate finance a plus).
Strong quantitative and analytical skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Excel (financial modeling experience is preferred).
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple priorities.
Eagerness to learn and grow in structured finance and asset management.
This is a full‑time position in‑office at our Corporate Office located in Mount Pleasant, South Carolina, with full healthcare benefits, PTO, and 401k.
